This site was made for a web design project in March 2015, and it's purpose is to encourage people to explore history in an engaging and understandable way, using the medium of the internet article to do so. We don't claim to be Oxford-educated uber-boffins, and we don't expect you to be, either. We're here to show you the world: as it was, as it is, as it will be.
So with that in mind, here is what we are NOT:
- A research site. While we will provide references and links at the end of our articles, we are not an accredited institution, and should not be considered one. We are amateurs, plain and simple.
- A comprehensive database. We are a starting point, a diving board for those looking to swim through history's depths (snorkels are extra). We don't know everything, and we won't tell you everything.
- The End All, Be All of historical accuracy. Like every historian that has ever lived on the planet Earth (and a couple on Titan), we are incredibly biased. Take everything we say with a pound of salt.
So, there we have it; we're the malformed love-child of a blog and a research site, here to show you the majesty of the past and anything related to it. If you like what we've said so far, we encourage you to continue reading our work. If you don't like us, then............... I don't know, go on Reddit or something. I'm kind of surprised you haven't left already.
Best of Luck, Tom
P.S. If you want to know more about why I enjoy history so much, feel free to read our first ever article, History: How and Why.
